• Dr Steven Masood is a Christian from a sectarian Muslim background. He became a follower of Jesus in April 1973 in Karachi, Pakistan. His testimony has been published in a book called, Into the Light, available in several languages, including English. His other books include, Why follow Jesus?, More than Conquerors, and The Bible and the Qur’an: A Question of integrity.
• He has a Master of Theology degree and a Doctorate of Philosophy from the London School of Theology in association with Brunel University, London. Both research degrees were granted on writing theses on subjects related to Islam and Christianity.
• He has spent 20 years studying and working in Christian-Muslim relations and has taught Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim relations at several Christian institutions in Britain and the Far East.
• He lectures at seminars, in conferences and churches on various subjects including on a Christian approach to Muslims. His lectures include topics related to the integrity of Christian and Muslim Scriptures and ways to share the Gospel of Jesus with Muslims.

The purpose of Steven's presentations

• To take the message of Christ to Muslims whom God have brought to the USA.
• To help Christians to know the Biblical foundation for witnessing cross culturally.
• To equip Christians to communicate the Gospel to the adherents of Islam effectively by making them aware of the issues faced in dialog with Muslims.
• To help Christians in your Church to be acquainted with methods through which Muslims may know the real Jesus, be convicted and accept Him as Savior.
• To teach effective presentation of the Gospel to Muslims using their own beliefs as a common ground and as a stepping stone.

Personal Statement of Faith

Dr Steven Masood considers it important that brothers and sisters who invite him to speak or teach from their platform should know for what he believes and stands for.

• I believe in the integrity of the Bible as God’s scripture and Jesus as the last and only hope for us all on this earth unto salvation and eternal life and our abode with the Father (Hebrews 1:1-2; Revelation 21:1ff). My prayerfully considered mission is first of all to abide in Christ; to live a life in public and private that demonstrates a desire to follow Christ's example in all things.  To be able to do this with any measure of success requires that I confess my sins daily and seek the wisdom and counsel of God in prayer.
• Through prayer I seek God’s specific will and guidance for my life of service, a most reasonable sacrifice considering all that Christ has done for me for bringing me out of Islam into the light of His Son.  With the help of others who are before me in the Faith, I must identify and develop my God-given talents for use in Christ’s kingdom, as He desires.
• I believe that God has gifted and prepared me to serve His Church in the area of Christian mission and outreach to Muslims (Matthew 28:18-20) and in teaching and instruction from His Word, emphasizing holiness and service that are the believer’s responsibility under God’s grace, by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Further, to stress unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-13).
• It is therefore my mission to reach Muslims and help Christians in their ministries to Muslims, consistent with 1 Peter 3:15 and 5:2-3, and be available to speak, to share and to teach with messages from life experiences and God’s Word, ministering as God directs, wherever He opens a door of opportunity for me.  It is my heart’s call to be an asset to His people. May I accomplish this for the glory of Jesus Christ. Amen.
